The Network

About The Network
Network architecture: Complete redundancy--no single point of failure. The data center is connected to a fully protected SONET ring with multiple points of entry. Furthermore, the data center also has direct fiber circuits to various transit providers & peering exchanges.
Connection: Over 20 Gbps of available bandwidth from tier 1 transit providers, private/public peers & various internet exchanges.
Backbones: Direct transit provided by UUNET/MCI (PDF Document), AT&T, SAVVIS & BBC. Peering PoPs in New York City NY (25 Broad/65 Hudson - NYIIX / NYCX), Chicago IL, Ashburn VA, Secaucus NJ, Staten Island NY, Toronto Canada & London England.
Security and monitoring: Custom written & fully integrated monitoring systems for all inbound & outbound network traffic. This includes alarms for flapping/offline/erroring circuits, threshold exceeding packet per second rates, worm/virus filtering & IDS matrixes.
Border routers: Fully redundant (VRRP) Juniper M40s & M20s

Backup generator: Auto-activated 1,500 kW permanent standby diesel generator (12 hour runtime on current fuel supply--indefinite runtime with refueling service contracts already in place).
Security and monitoring: Restricted site access with closed circuit security camera system and integrated motion detection systems monitoring all building and data center entrances.
Personnel: Level III hardware technicians on-site 24/7/365.
