FAWE Ghana

This organization (Forum for African Women Educationalists) was brought to my attention by my friend Nick (Osmond-Jones), who flew to Ghana, Africa, to volunteer with them for the summer. This organization supports a very worthy cause, and is currently in great financial crisis. They are urgently seeking funding to support their schools and programs. Due to a recent loss of steady funding, the teachers haven't been paid in over 3 months! Thankfully they are hanging-in to support the children and the school, but they need help. The school currently has over 100 students, and runs on a tiny budget.
Nick, along with other volunteers, is writing proposals to gain the support of large funding groups/companies. Until they are able to find sustainable funding sources, they (and now we) are resorting to a public appeal for personal contributions to fill the gap. I've donated a new website and hosting to help promote the cause, and facilitate donations (via PayPal : accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx, bank payments, etc.). And of course, charitable receipts are available.
We appreciate any help we can get in spreading the word. Just look into the eyes of the little girl on the website, and tell me you don't want to do a little something to brighten her future. ;)
Please take a moment to visit the website, and then pass this along to everyone you know who may be interested.
